Tired of searching for cleaning tools when it’s time to scrub and struggling to stay on top of housework? You’re not alone! Between lost scrub brushes, missing spray bottles, and the endless hunt for the right cleaner, cleaning can feel more frustrating than fulfilling.

But what if you could ditch the chaos and whip your home into shape—fast?

With a few clever organizing tricks, you can transform cleaning from a dreaded chore into a quick, stress-free routine. Say goodbye to wasted time and hello to a home that’s always guest-ready!

1. Create Dedicated Cleaning Caddies for Each Room

This is my all-time favorite cleaning caddy made by Sterilite!

Store a fully stocked cleaning bucket in every major area—kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room. Each caddy should include:

  • Multi-surface cleaner
  • Microfiber cloths & sponges
  • Rubber gloves
  • Specialty cleaners (toilet bowl cleaner, shower spray, oven cleaner, etc.)

No more running around gathering supplies—just grab the bucket and start cleaning! When finished, tuck it under the sink or in a closet for next time.

2. Use Clear Storage Bins for Quick Access

Clear bins or open-top organizers make it easy to spot what you need. Label them for even faster retrieval.

3. Keep a Portable Cleaning Tote for Quick Touch-Ups

Fill a small tote with essentials like disinfecting wipes, a duster, and a mini vacuum for quick cleanups between deep cleans.

4. Hang Supplies on Hooks or Over-the-Door Organizers

Maximize space by hanging spray bottles, brushes, and gloves on hooks or an over-the-door shoe organizer.

5. Store Cleaning Tools Where You Use Them

Keep a toilet brush near each toilet, a mop in a utility closet, and a duster in the living room. This eliminates wasted steps!

6. Declutter Before You Clean

Remove unnecessary items from countertops and surfaces first—fewer obstacles mean faster, more efficient cleaning.

7. Set a Timer for Speed Cleaning

Challenge yourself to 10- or 15-minute bursts of focused cleaning to stay motivated.

With these simple strategies, you’ll spend less time searching and more time enjoying a clean, organized home!
