One of the most useful lessons I carried from my years as a captain into business is this:

You can make the surface look clean. You can put everything away. You can reset the visible mess.
But when pressure hits, what matters is whether the structure underneath can hold.
I see the same thing in growing businesses.
A missing file may not be a filing problem. A repeated question may not be a people problem. A stalled decision may not be a discipline problem.
The visible issue is often just the signal.
